The night before my appointment, I prepped as if I was going on a 3 day road trip with all three of my children

It starts off like an Instagram picture. Seemingly perfect. Sitting in the ever-so-longed-for fire truck seat. An adorable monster print cape. All smiles. Then the comb comes out and within one minute that picture perfect moment is long gone.

Around 15 years ago, Hallmark came out with a line of greeting cards under the brand Fresh Ink. I thought they were simply fantastic. 

Raising a strong-willed child has been the most challenging part of motherhood

Every single time someone picks up my purse. Scratch that. My diaper bag. Wait no…my suitcase? Ok, my mom purse.

This is something I struggle with, if I’m being completely honest. It’s hard to quiet my mind sometimes or to just put everything down and have no distractions.

My husband and I got into a rut at one point. We would go on our weekly date night which meant we would get dressed up and go to dinner.

Then sat us down and said "Your son will lead a normal, healthy life and his wife one day won't even notice.  But he has cerebral palsy".
